GOEBBELS, AGAIN

In his recent book Terror Post 9/11 and the Media, David Altheide explains the propagandistic methods used by the media and governments in international topics. Altheide explains the rationality of Bush's propaganda to justify in the 2003, the invasion of Iraq, distorting and providing questionable information in order to justify the war and to win support of his people accusing to Saddam Hussein of to be after the attacks of the World Trade Center and to store weapons of massive destruction. After the war there were not discovered such weapons. The recent murder of the Iranian nuclear physicist Masoud Ali-Mohammadi doesn't escape to these manipulations. While the Iranian media controlled by the government accuse to USA and Israel of having murdered the loyal iranian physicist mentioning near sources, USA denies the accusations mentioning government's anonymous sources and near colleagues tipifiyng the physicist as an open criticic of the régime implying Teheran in the murder.

Information without evidences and/or prejudiced in favor of certain agenda, modern reminiscence of the methods developed by Joseph Goebbels who continues but alive that never. In this case as informations are partially true it is possible to give them the wanted turn. The imputations work well because both are potential enemies being been able to add to the chain of attacks any additional news without evidences. The public manipulation is carried out by means of the fear, repeating the same speech unceasingly -I make this because it is the best for my society and my children- using the same verbal and visual language, linking the terrorism to the traffic of drugs and to illegal immigration, individualizing the enemy, loading on the enemy the own errors, exaggerating any anecdote, endowing from verisimilitude to the lie, hammering over existent ideas in the national imaginary.

En su reciente libro Terror Post 9/11 and the Media, David Altheide explica los métodos propagandísticos empleados por medios y gobiernos, en tópicos internacionales. Altheide explica la racionalidad de la propaganda de Bush para justificar el 2003, la invasión de Irak, distorsionando y proporcionando información cuestionable a fin de justificar la guerra y ganar apoyo del público acusando a Saddam Hussein de estar tras los ataques del World Trade Center y almacenar armas de destrucción masiva. Después de la guerra no se descubrieron las armas indicadas. El reciente asesinato del físico nuclear iraní Masoud Ali-Mohammadi no escapa a estas manipulaciones. Mientras los medios iraníes controlados por el gobierno acusan a USA e Israel de haber asesinado al leal físico iraní citando fuentes cercanas a la victima, USA niega las acusaciones citando fuentes anónimas del gobierno y colegas cercanos tipificando al físico como un abierto critico del régimen implicando a Teheran en el asesinato.

Información sin evidencias y/o prejuiciada en favor de determinada agenda, reminiscencia moderna de los métodos desarrollados por Joseph Goebbels, quien sigue mas vivo que nunca. Como se trata de informaciones parcialmente verdaderas, es posible darles el giro deseado.Las imputaciones funcionan bien porque ambos son enemigos potenciales pudiendo añadirse a la cadena de ataques cualquier noticia adicional sin evidencias de por medio. La manipulación pública se realizó mediante el miedo, repitiendo incesantemente el mismo discurso –hago esto porque es lo mejor para la sociedad y mis hijos- empleando el mismo lenguaje verbal y visual, ligando el terrorismo al tráfico de drogas y a la inmigración clandestina, individualizando al enemigo, cargando sobre él los errores propios, exagerando cualquier anécdota, dotando de verosimilitud a la mentira, martillando sobre ideas existentes en los imaginarios nacionales.
